Novel produces premium original podcasts, as well as award winning content for leading broadcast networks and platforms, including the BBC, iHeartRadio, Wondery, Audible and Spotify.
Whilst investigative and narrative documentary story-telling are firmly in our DNA, Novel also develops and produces shows in comedy, politics, sport and scripted.
Novel works with top-tier brands and IP owners such as Google & The Premier League who appreciate our abilities to create innovative branded podcasts that people actually want to listen to.
With great development and IP at the centre, our ideas are increasingly migrating to TV, Film and Publishing, with numerous projects in development.
Novel is seeking a PR and Marketing Manager to help drive growth plans after a very successful year. We are on the hunt for an all rounder who can work with the management team to deliver on the strategy and business plan which centres on launching a new suite of original podcasts, in addition to our prominent work for hire business.
We would like to speak to applicants that have a multi-faceted skill-set, happy to focus on and drive all aspects of the marketing and communications mix.
Create and implement the annual marketing plan and budget in collaboration with the management team.
Create and manage all trade and consumer marketing materials.
Produce social media assets for distribution.
Manage the day to day running of the Novel social media channels (Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn) posting relevant and timely content with grid planning.
Ensure documents and marketing materials are current, accurate and properly reflect the brand and desired messaging.
Manage the company website and ensure it is up to date with latest news, roles, etc
Responsible for corporate messaging development and distribution.
Liaise with journalists in the UK and US to positively position and grow Novel’s presence in the trade and consumer press.
Continually evaluate the comms approach and devise strategies to cut through via thought leadership pieces, event speaking opportunities etc
Assist development team in the preparation of new business materials including new business meeting pitches and presentations.
Manage the awards calendar, write entries and manage submissions.

Ability to design and produce marketing materials including audio visual assets for distribution.
Excellent understanding of social media channels.
Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise a large amount of tasks in an effective way.
Working knowledge of some or all of the following: G Suite, Powerpoint/Keynote, Google Analytics, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Adobe InDesign, Asana.
Podcast industry knowledge and media contacts a distinct advantage.
Minimum of 4 years experience in a similar role.
