As our Press Officer and a pivotal member of our communications team, you will be the main point of contact to media for both our Beauty and Home categories but most importantly, as passionate about luxury Beauty and Lifestyle as we are! This role is responsible for developing and implementing the PR strategy for key brand enhancing launches and delivering relevant coverage across all media platforms, so you'll need to be in the top of your game when it comes to knowing the latest names in luxury Beauty and Lifestyle brands.
You will be responsible for managing, building and strengthening new relationships with press and will proactively and reactively speak with editors daily. Depending on what launches are taking place in the business, you can expect to spend 65% of your time on beauty and 35% of your time on home, taking the lead on Christmas coverage from July to December.
Develop and Implement the PR/media strategy for the season and key brand-enhancing launches
Manage, maintain and grow the database of key press, opinion formers and trend-setters through regular communication and media appointments. Build relationships with external beauty & home brands to support the Liberty network.
Work proactively to identify opportunities and secure positive coverage through features, new stories and product placement in top tier print and online media, with a focus on and brand enhancing and commercial coverage.
Ensure all information leaving the Press Office is to the required standard, on-brand and approved
Plan and write press releases and weekly mailers to achieve coverage for key launches and products
Report coverage / Events / Campaigns to stake holders in the business on a monthly basis/ as appropriate and evaluate ROI for relevant communications
Measure brand exposure and identify opportunities and areas of development.
Work with the relevant internal teams to identify key themes and messages and ensure that messaging is aligned.
Compile product/brand information from suppliers, designers and PR companies
Develop relationships and work with external PR companies to ensure maximum press coverage
Ensure media database is kept up to date and managed
Plan and organise relevant press and in-store events
