Novel produces premium original podcasts, as well as award winning content for leading broadcast networks and platforms, including the BBC, iHeartRadio, Wondery, Audible and Spotify.
Whilst investigative and narrative documentary storytelling are firmly in our DNA, Novel also develops and produces shows spanning comedy, politics, sport and scripted.
With IP always at the centre of what we do, our ideas are increasingly migrating to TV, film and publishing, with numerous projects in development.
Novel also works with top-tier brands and IP owners such as Google & The Premier League who appreciate our abilities to create innovative branded podcasts that people actually want to listen to.

We are a team of 20 people based in London.
We are offering permanent contracts for documentary Producers and Senior Producers with a proven track record of making high quality docs for leading networks and broadcasters.
These roles will be focussed largely on factual series for Audible, as well as long form narrative series and projects for BBC Radio 4, 3 and the World Service. Two to three years experience making series for these networks/platforms is essential for Producers, with a minimum of five years experience required for Senior Producers.
A highly creative approach to audio production is a must. Editing on Reaper is a significant bonus.

Planning and executing production schedules
Sourcing and booking contributors
Recording contributors, both remotely and on location
Script writing and editing
Audio editing to a high standard

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & PERSON SPECIFICATION
2-3 or 5+ years of audio production experience
A strong understanding of what it takes to tell powerful stories
Passionate about documentaries, podcasting and creative audio production
Wide ranging listening habits
Confident knowledge of current affairs (history a bonus)
A dogged researcher
Proficient audio editor
A skilled multitasker
Exceptional organisational skills
Great communicator with junior staff, senior management, clients, interviewees and talent alike
Creative thinker, capable of developing progressive approaches to familiar topics
Keen problem solver – must be able to think on your feet and react quickly and calmly under pressure
Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise
Attention to detail – everything we deliver is at a premium level
Proficient user of G-Suite and Slack (Novel do not use Excel)
Familiarity with project management tools such as Asana is a significant bonus
• Salary range - £32-40k dependent on experience + benefits
• 23 days of holiday per year + Christmas
