An opportunity has arisen to join Penguin Random House Children's Production in our Puffin team, working across a diverse list which includes so many well-loved brands such as Eric Carle's Very Hungry Caterpillar and Jacqueline WiIson.
Working as part of a close-knit team, you'll be responsible for delivering front list publishing with accompanying co-editions, working on a combination of colour, including some novelty, and mono titles. You'll be responsible for producing eBooks and audio formats, alongside the physical editions. Non-trade/special sales projects will be a substantial part of the role, so you'll need to be a keen negotiator.
What we're looking for from you:
You're confident and self-motivated
Have good technical knowledge and high commercial awareness
Are creative and able to demonstrate passion for your titles.
You're a great communicator - adept at building and maintaining relationships with Sales and Creative colleagues and suppliers alike.
You're used to managing a busy workload and meeting the expectations of multiple stakeholders.
You'll have excellent attention to detail and will be able to demonstrate a calm, positive and flexible approach to your work - even when you're under pressure.
You'll be a team player but equally happy to work independently on your own initiative.
Strong organisational skills are also key.
A production background working on colour books is essential. Some experience of novelty product and safety testing would be advantageous.
If you feel that you possess the above skills and experience, please apply with a CV and covering letter by midnight on Sunday 29 th September
