The Production Coordinator at ITN will work within the technology department and will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between technical operations and production teams. This position is responsible for ensuring seamless technical execution of projects, maintaining production schedules, and coordinating across departments to meet deadlines.  Additionally, the role involves strategic planning, resource allocation, and financial oversight to optimise production outcomes. The ideal candidate will possess a mix of live production understanding, organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams.
Key Responsibilities
Production Coordination:
  • Participate in and provide support for large special events, such as Royal Events and other high-profile productions
  • Collaborate with the production and technology teams to ensure all technical requirements are met for live and recorded productions.
  • Oversee and coordinate studio production projects
  • Maintain all health and safety documentation across studios and galleries at ITN
Planning & Budgeting:
  • Assist in resource allocation and planning to ensure efficient utilisation of staff and technical resources
  • Monitor budgets related to production and technical operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints
Communication & Collaboration:
  • Act as a liaison between production, editorial, and technical teams to align goals and expectations
  • Provide clear documentation of technical workflows and standard operating procedures
  • Liaise with studio production teams, technical staff, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and execution of project specifications

Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a media, broadcasting, or technology environment
  • Strong understanding of production workflows and technical operations
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with live broadcasting or streaming platforms
  • Experience in financial planning and budget management
  • Excellent knowledge of studio production systems and technical workflows
Work Environment:
  • Based at ITN headquarters with potential for on-location support as required.
  • Occasional evening or weekend work depending on production schedules.
