Do you have working knowledge and an understanding of theatre practices? Can you provide effective administrative and logistical support? Do you know what is takes to support putting on a show? Can you work efficiently in a pressured, deadline driven environment? Are you immediately available to start a new role?
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Production Coordinator to be the central point of contact between between the Producers' team and all other departments within the RSC, particularly the Production Team, supporting the Producers and taking responsibility for the smooth running of the Producers' offices and liaising with the other Production Coordinators.
Reporting to the General Manager, some of your key responsibilities will include (please see the job description and person specification for the comprehensive list):
  • Working with the Company Manager on logistics for rehearsals, including organisation of prop and equipment hire
  • Liaising with technical staff and rehearsal venue regarding get-ins and get-outs
  • Facilitating communication between the Producers and Planning teams and other departments across the organisation
  • Helping to draft and distribute summary schedules
  • Scheduling meetings and taking minutes
  • Booking rehearsal rooms and overseeing the booking of audition rooms and preparing risk assessments
  • Maintaining budgetary control
To be suitable for this role, it is essential that you have the following knowledge and experience: Good working knowledge and understanding of theatre practices and administration
  • Great organisational and administrative experience
  • Working knowledge of Equity agreements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Discrete and able to deal with sensitive and confidential information
  • Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office 365 and Teams
  • Able to work in a busy, deadline driven, pressurised environment
You will be working 44 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends to reflect working in the arts and culture sector.  We are committed to a culture of flexible working and this role will provide the opportunity for some flexibility in hours and location of work, ensuring that the specific remit of the role is delivered.
