Creative Mentor Network is a charity with a mission to make the creative world of work more diverse and inclusive through mentoring. We work with schools and colleges across London to connect talented 16-25 year olds from diverse backgrounds with those working in the creative industries.
We work with some great partners across the creative industries - including Havas, Soho House, Sony Music and Sky - matching up their employees with young people and supporting their journey into the industry.

Creative Mentor Network delivers several bespoke mentoring and mentor training programmes a year for creative industry partners, with varying timelines, deliverables and participants.
Our Programme Manager will be overseeing the delivery of up to five mentoring programmes at a time from start to finish, ensuring they have the most impact possible on the young people we are designed to support.
This will include taking ownership of the programmes you are managing; understanding the client objectives and ensuring clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, including mentors and mentees on the programme, Associate Trainers delivering the workshops, and a project lead at Creative Mentor Network. As Programme Manager, you will also manage the selection of mentees for the programmes you are managing, onboarding them and making informed matches between young people and professionals.

Project Management
Organisation and communication is key to this role. We are looking for someone who enjoys using project management tools (including our platform, Asana) to track the progress of each programme and communicate with the project lead.
Assessment Centres
We use Assessment Centres to select the young people who join our programmes. This might be a future mentee’s first interaction with Creative Mentor Network, so it’s important that you feel comfortable leading activities and interviews with young people. Our pool of volunteers support in the running of assessment centres. You will recruit these volunteers from the network and brief them on our scoring criteria. Following an assessment centre, you’ll make the best possible matches between mentors and mentees.
On-boarding process for mentors and mentees
It’s really important that mentors and mentees are onboarded successfully to our programmes. You’ll take pride in ensuring that all programme participants are informed and enthused about the programme they’re involved in from the outset!
Through emails, forms (and phone calls if required), you’ll monitor the progress of mentor and mentee pairings, troubleshoot issues and communicate feedback to the project lead. You’ll also be responsible for sending regular emails to mentors, from session reminders to recommended reading to support them on their mentoring journey.
Showcase events
At the end of every programme we run a showcase celebration. Managing showcase event logistics includes: briefing and prepping mentors and mentees to contribute to the event (as presenters, hosts, photographers etc), managing venue and set up in the run up, and coordination on the day.

We are looking for someone who is:
  • Highly organised and capable of managing a varied workload
  • Able to communicate with a range of people - from mentee to mentor, understanding the right tone and level of professionalism
  • Confident taking ownership of responsibilities
  • Enjoys client management and building strong relationships
  • Able to spot opportunities and build upon existing partnerships
  • Keen to work in a fast-paced startup environment where things change regularly
  • Operations mindset
We’re a small team and so we’re always looking for people with skills that we don’t already have in our team. If you’re good at photography, editing videos, graphic design, or facilitating workshops, please tell us about it as you might have skills that are much needed in the CMN team!

Experience required
- At least 2+ years of project management experience
- Experience of working with multiple stakeholders
- Experience or interest in leading workshops

START DATE: December

FULL-TIME POSITION: 5 days a week*
*We are recruiting for a full time role, but 4 days a week will be considered. Flexibility is dependant on the number of projects we confirm for 2020
