The Library Systems Transformation Programme underpins the Library’s essential services, developing core library capability and infrastructure.
The programme includes projects to deliver a new digital asset management and preservation system, implement a new archives and manuscript system andplan the long term future for how we manage the c. 250 million records that form our published collections. These projects facilitate other services that allow everyone to access, use and enjoy our digital and physical collections, now and in the future.
The Programme Manager is responsible for overall delivery and management of the Library Systems Transformation programme, working with a range of stakeholders from Technology to Business and Collection areas. They are responsible for ensuring timely delivery of all projects and managing all aspects of the programme (timeline, budget, risks etc.).
The Programme is well established within the British Library, and includes a blend of live and pre-initiation projects.
To succeed in this role, you will need significant project/programme management experience that should include delivering technology enabled business transformation.
