Protein is looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Project Manager to join us in our London, UK office. This is a vital role within our team in which you will help lead and manage the day-to-day relationship with key clients and ensure each project runs smoothly, while continually looking for new growth opportunities.
We are looking for a PM with a minimum of 3-4 years agency experience to act as a day-to-day partner advising on strategy, project planning, problem solving, decision-making, and proactive opportunity identification, both for clients and our internal team. We are interested in candidates that have a strong background in the areas of brand strategy, product innovation and consumer research. This is a hybrid role and you will be working alongside different departments to bring consumer insights, product innovations and concepts to life. Qualified individuals should also have a genuine love for current affairs and an understanding of the creative cultural landscape to help drive our clients’ business forward, and communicate Protein’s unique positioning.
Advise on strategy, project planning, problem solving, decision-making, and proactive opportunity identification
Lead the initial development of budget estimates, SOWs and schedules
Work with leadership to ensure work is on time, on budget and meeting revenue goals
Proactively manage clients by providing timely updates and flagging any potential issues
Be comfortable and confident in a client environment, able to clearly communicate a proposed strategy / concept and Protein’s expertise.
Collaborate and liaise with clients’ agencies in cross-platform projects.
Build rapport and credibility with clients based on trust, expert counsel and effective delivery of programs.
Lead logistics component of consumer research projects: creative event planning (workshops, immersions, brainstorm sessions), in-field market research, administer booking travel and calls
Liaise with vendors and freelancers to negotiate costs, agreements and day-to-day logistics
Ensure projects are kept within scope and budget, monitor each project in detail
Facilitate the development of project briefs, partner with multiple departments and lead team meetings
Provide a framework and process for project teams, establish key team check-ins to ensure that all team members are in constant step with the project
Assess estimates to actuals, and manage change order process as needed
Collate weekly billing and cross-departmental reconciliation reports, providing project status updates to finance and leadership.
Support the business with internal operations, such as resourcing, financials and status reports
Outstanding client service & relationship building
Ability to work autonomously with a self starter approach
Ability to manage tight deadlines and budgets, with a sense of urgency
Strong leadership abilities
Understanding and managing details of a project in the context of a larger business picture
Strong experience presenting both in person and in writing
3-4+ years of relevant client service and project management experience in an advertising / creative agency environment.
Experience in consumer insight, research and brand strategy
A clear understanding of the business of advertising, budget management and processes.
Ability to multi-task across multiple projects/disciplines; this role is not solely assigned to one client account.
Proficient in MS Office, Keynote and Google Apps.
Global accounts experience a plus.
