ITV Online is the home of ITV Hub is the biggest ad-funded video-on-demand platform in the UK. Last year we served 1 billion videos to 20 million users across 20+ platforms including Amazon Fire, Xbox, Android and iOS devices. We’re constantly expanding with year on year video delivery increasing by 40%. During World Cup Russia 2018, we served more viewing traffic through our app than many broadcast channels.
Are you a Project Manager with a proven track record of delivery?
We have an opportunity for a contract Project Manager to join the Direct to Consumer Technology Team responsible for managing the delivery of various projects across DTC business in line with the division’s objectives. ITV is becoming more data-driven & as a Project Manager, you can expect to be involved in some high-profile & strategic projects in this area such as a build of a Data Science platform, continuous improvement of our existing Datawarehouse or delivering new applications for connected TV’s (Smart TV’s). Television is not going anywhere, it is going everywhere and you’ll be working across projects that ensure ITV is a leading organisation in facilitating this.
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalising the project according to ITV’s governance model, within the agreed timescales and budget. This includes coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants in order to deliver the project according to plan. You will also define the project’s objectives, deliverables and oversee quality control throughout the life cycle.
Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
Develop project plans and associated communications documents.
Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
Set and continually manage project expectations
You will need a mix of the following skills to perform the role:
Experience in project management
Strong understanding of Agile methods and their implementation over a variety of types of delivery
Project Governance (APMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent)
Managing Risk, Issues, Action Logs and Dependencies etc.
Managing Project Change Control and multiple project tasks
Background with Online / Video On Demand / OTT platforms / content delivery is beneficial
Experience working in the Online/Media/Broadcast industry is a great advantage
Experience working with data and analytics platforms
Previous experience of Apps on iOS, Android and Connected TV
Excellent communication skills
