The Role
We are recruiting a Project Manager (Estate) to deliver key Estate projects over the next two years, these include a major project to replace the North-East Quarter gallery roofs, replacement of two substations and other infrastructure works. The successful candidate will have experience of delivering significant construction projects within a busy, live environment - working with colleagues and clients across the organisation as well as with external consultants and contractors. Ideally you will have a good understanding of listed buildings and experience in a similar environment where providing a superb visitor experience is key. You will play a critical role in ensuring that the V&A Estate is presented beautifully and that projects are delivered on time and with best value for money. You will be able to manage a wide range of responsibilities, multiple workstreams and have excellent communication skills, engaging with internal clients, colleagues, contracted suppliers and external agencies. You should be IT literate and have an excellent knowledge of the relevant building and Health & Safety practice and legislation. Working in the Estates Team you will have the change to be part of big changes within the V&A family of sites as we extend to additional museums and locations over the next 3 years. You will have the opportunity to define this role as it embeds into the estates team, delivering key infrastructure projections in a live environment.
