We have a brand new opportunity for someone to join the Development team within Penguin Random House’s Digital Development Team as Projects Assistant with a start date of early September 2018.
In this new role, you’ll be responsible for balancing needs of both the consumer and the business to help prioritise and launch products and new developments alongside our Product Managers.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for the smooth running of the Development team schedule and allocated projects, including sprint planning, owning the BAU development backlog, as well as leading on organising team meetings and ensuring appropriate governance structures are in place. You will facilitate and contribute to design sprints for new projects as well as organising sprint logistics and ceremonies.
Working closely with your colleagues in the wider department Audiences and Audio, you’ll gather consensus in order to deliver product development and enhancements, and will be responsible for documenting all workflows and development work around our existing portfolio.

Knowledge of and preferably experience in working with Agile methodology and the tools that come with it – JIRA and Confluence. Excellent Microsoft Office skills - including Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook.
A strong interest/experience within Digital and industry trends – with knowledge or understanding of the following: App & Website Development, Digital Marketing (i.e. SEO, Social, Email), WordPress and AEM Content Management Systems, Google Analytics.
