About our internship

A Stripe Partners internship offers a unique opportunity to experience the world of consulting and to gain insight into what it takes to create impact within large organisations.

During this internship, you will contribute to insight-driven work with the potential to change how millions of people understand and interact with technology. As a Research intern you can expect to be fully immersed in project work and SP culture.

Our internships are paid, full-time stints that typically run for 4-months. You must have the right to work in the UK without the need for visa sponsorship or renewal, ie. hold a UK or Irish passport, or have indefinite leave to remain in the UK. Although we operate a hybrid model from our London Bridge office, we would like interns to be able to access the office regularly.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for bright, organised and enthusiastic individuals excited to apply social science and humanities to business challenges, on multi-country research projects.

You will become part of teams working on live client engagements, and gain first-hand experience, training and regular feedback from a buddy. This is a junior position with the opportunity to expand and grow your research and consulting skills.


About you

  • A social science or humanities graduate
  • Ideally 6+ months of work experience
  • Curious about culture, social science, technology and business
  • An original thinker, who can make incisive observations about the world around you or in the world of ideas
  • Empathetic and warm towards other human beings
  • Proactive and take initiative, suggesting solutions and ways forward
  • A good work ethic, you actively seek out ways to contribute
  • Eager to learn, take on unfamiliar tasks and comfortable taking feedback constructively
  • Excellent attention to detail: you care about the quality of your work
  • A clear communicator, orally and on paper
  • Can demonstrate a practical example of working with different stakeholders
  • Comfortable working with online tools such as Google Drive, and presentation software such as Slides, PPT or Keynote

What you’ll do

You’ll be an integral member of a project team, and your tasks will include:

  • Supporting on recruiting participants for research projects
  • Conducting background research online
  • Assisting with the development of research design and discussion guides
  • Setting up tools to support research activities, eg. diary studies on Recollective, analysis on Airtable, collaboration boards on Mural
  • Moderating or note taking in interviews
  • Contributing to analysis by finding patterns in qualitative data
  • Supporting writing sections of reports
  • Participating in workshops and client meetings
  • Support managing calendar, project plan, team timetables

Interview process


The application deadline is October 3rd with the internship starting ideally w/c 21st October. Candidates must ensure they are available, in person, during the interview dates: 14-17 October. Additionally, this role will be contracted, requiring the appointed candidate to be able to invoice.

Applicants who are shortlisted can expect an initial phone / video call. Successful candidates will proceed to the second and final stage, which involves a face-to-face meeting at our London office. Candidates will also need to present a task during their second interview.

This is a time-bound opportunity with no guarantee of a full time role at the end of the internship. However, high performing interns have in the past been offered permanent roles if there are positions available.

How much does this internship pay


Interns are paid monthly at £2,100 GBP. You will receive 25 days pro rata of annual leave (2.33 days a month) + bank holidays.
