The Senior Account Manager has all the skills of the Account Manager, but provides more experienced account management support and an understanding of the wider BU needs. You willwork closely with Account Directors and Account Executives, as well as senior members of the team, on a variety of projects to ensure successful and timely planning and development and implementation of project deliverables to the highest quality standards.
You will lead the internal team and champion internal processes.
You will also be a primary point of contact for the client, managing the day-to-day project elements and any changes to planned activities that may occur.
Manage the day-to-day running and coordination of accounts and projects, including managing the wider team with a significant level of autonomy
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of the client’s brand and therapeutic area including key challenges, positioning and the market environment
Ensure all client objections are handled and defend agency position
Responsible for regular client contact
Establish and reinforce relationships with key client personnel
Guide client understanding of our quality processes, resource bookings and timelines
Ensure implementation of all projects to the highest quality standards, proactively meeting and managing all deadlines and budgets
Develop and monitor project timelines, ensuring regular client updates and adapt as necessary throughout the life of the project. Ensure adherence to timelines and resolve any issues arising if timelines need to change
Demonstrate the ability to think proactively about brand strategy, including awareness of the client’s overarching brand plan or engagement in annual planning meetings
Develop communication objectives & strategies (e.g. marketing/brand platform briefs)
Evaluate creative output in-line with the client’s brief
Manage the studio process of documents including mark-ups, booking of studio time, briefing of creatives, designers, writers and production. Ensure team adherence to agency processes
Actively recommend and implement strategic & non-traditional solutions to process problems; flag to account lead if necessary
Arrange internal meetings, assigning appropriate task allocation and ensuring that the project team is briefed on project requirements, considerations and timelines
Ensure work produced meets/exceeds the objectives set and is executed in a timely manner, to the highest possible standard in order to achieve the best possible results
Demonstrate thoroughness and resourcefulness in all account management tasks
Take ultimate responsibility for ensuring tactics are on brand, and timelines take into account the correct project process throughout the year
Ability to manage event logistics at medical meetings and events
Possess a thorough understanding of the client’s brand, key challenges, positioning, the market environment and marketing strategy
Demonstrate compelling presentation skills
