The Role
Reporting into the Group Beauty Director this role is to work across Good Housekeeping, Red and Prima to produce innovative beauty ideas and features for all brands within the Lifestyle Group. You will commission and edit copy and mentor junior members of the team as well as support the GBD in the smooth running of the beauty hub. You may also be required to deliver a limited amount of beauty content into the Homes portfolio specifically for use in Country Living.
Key responsibilities
• Generate fresh ideas, both features and visuals for Good Housekeeping, Red and Prima
• Writing copy to deadline
• Organising shoots and still life shoots as needed
• Keeping abreast of trends/industry intel and potential commercial opportunities and feeding in to GBD
• Helping team source offers
• Writing commercial copy as needed
• Supporting GBD and helping with development of beauty writer and beauty editor too (if required), ie with writing skills
• Editing copy
• Helping to manage budgets across the titles and ensuring (together with GBD) they are adhered too and all relevant paperwork is done
• Supervising the beauty hub in the absence of GBD
• Hosting or taking part in beauty events when required (which may include the occasional evening and weekend)
About You
• Previous experience as a senior beauty editor/beauty editor in a commercial magazine environment
• Passion, enthusiasm and understanding of all titles in the Lifestyle Group
• Team player with a can-do attitude
