A little bit about our team
UKTV’s Creative department is an award-winning in-house team, responsible for creating and delivering on and off air promotion for our diverse network. Our work varies from large-scale originated projects, through design-led and content-based on-air executions to print, digital and radio.
Working closely with the wider Marketing team and a number of external agencies, the Creative team acts as a point of creative continuity and cohesion across all elements of the business, ensuring that UKTV is always represented by fresh, original and brand-defining communications. We are also creatively ambitious, with the desire to generate award-winning creative and successfully compete beyond broadcast with the marketing and creative community at large.
As a Senior Creative at UKTV you will be instrumental in implementing the brand guidelines for the different channel brands and in realising an overall creative vision for UKTV. We are creatively ambitious, with the desire to make a bold statement through our proven business building creative; by improving (yr on yr) on our current Promax award tally of two golds, and by successfully competing beyond broadcast, with the marketing & creative community at large.
In the role you will get to...
Reporting into one of UKTV’s Creative Managers, you will be responsible for the creation of various priority on-air promotions across a mix of diverse channel brands, most specifically on Dave.
You will also be required to work in creative partnership with our roster of external agencies to insure that all the priority campaigns are delivered as part of a fully integrated 360 advertising campaign.
You will already have extensive creative experience in either broadcast creative or advertising. You should have a proven track record of conceiving, directing and editing AV work, and have some experience in Out Of Home. You should also be able to demonstrate examples of written copy.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who can generate tonnes of campaign ideas, creative hooks that genuinely work in AV, OOH, Social and Experiential. You should be an expert creative all-rounder capable of writing award-winning long and short copy, pitching your ideas to internal stakeholders and production companies, directing shoots big and small, editing your own originated and clip-based material, as well as collaborating effectively with designers, audio engineers and marketeers. You’re comfortable taking a brief, interpreting it and responding with ideas that are creatively fresh but also completely on brief.
We are looking for 3 key qualities that will help you be successful in this role:
CREATIVITY – an ability to generate 360 campaign ideas that are both innovative and effective.
PROJECT LEAD – you will be the guardian of your own ideas, responsible for executing and protecting them through the production and sign-off processes, solely responsible for the final creative output. AMBITION - you have a restless desire to create genuinely great work. As a Senior Creative you lead by example and set the tone for the rest of the team.
