We're looking for an established Senior Editor to join our team in London. POPS Productions is the production company arm of the Iris agency group. POPS Productions is a focused and super charged production set up situated within the larger agency network – producing notable television commercials, branded content and social content for global brands. Clients include the likes of Samsung, Adidas, Haven, Pizza Hut, Formula E and many more.
We offer full moving image post production services – from offline editing to animated design and master picture grading. We are based in London but work with Iris network partners and external clients around the globe. When it comes to moving image, we just about do it all, from TV commercials and branded content, to event and pitch films. This work inevitably takes us all over the globe and allows us to create a variety of work, from car commercials, to football content with the world’s biggest stars, or even filming sharks in the Bahamas – the projects are brilliantly varied.
How you'd spend your day
As Senior Editor you will report to the Executive Producer at POPS Productions and will be a key part of the Post Production team. You will work in close collaboration with Post Production manager, Editors, Motion Graphics artists, Producers and other production staff. You will also have frequent contact with colleagues from across the wider business, such as Creative Directors, Creative teams, Account Managers and the new business team.
Heading up the editing team of POPS you will have the opportunity to bring your expertise, flair and creativity to a huge range of projects; from epic TVC’s to fast turnaround Social Content and everything in between. As a senior member of the team you will often be involved in projects from the outset to allow you to impart your knowledge and advice to allow for smooth and efficient post-production workflows, whilst organised and thoughtful working practices, supported by up to date hardware and software, will allow you to express your creativity without interruption. Being comfortable to work quickly and efficiently alongside Directors, Creatives and Clients will be a key skill, as well as the ability to react to fast moving projects and tight deadlines.
You will work alongside the IT department who supply and maintain the kit, though this also allows for some autonomy if desired. Being a trusted member of the team will allow you to discuss upgrades and improvements as needed.
You’ll have worked in the industry for a number of years and have a complete understanding of the working practices of a post-production company. Previous experience working in an advertising agency is not a requirement but would be an advantage.
