Job Description

We are looking for a Senior International Media Manager to expand our paid brand marketing initiatives into Germany and the UK!
The role will support Etsy’s international growth, acting as the main point of contact for all international ATL (above-the-line) marketing. You will be the bridge between the local International Strategy team and the ATL Marketing team in the U.S., to inform on media campaign strategy, and seek additional investment and optimization opportunities utilizing international market expertise.
This role will lead the development and execution of the international marketing campaigns across paid offline and online ATL channels, including but not limited to TV, OTT/CTV/VOD, and digital video. We’re looking for a media specialist and self-starter, with strong collaboration and decision-making skills, and an innate understanding of the consumer - brand relationship. The ideal candidate can seamlessly rotate between big-picture and detail oriented tasks, with an interest in driving a long-term vision while intensely focusing attention on the details that drive budgets, results, and reporting. The role requires deep experience planning and optimizing international TV campaigns, specifically in Germany.
This individual will play a meaningful role on the broader Growth Marketing team, which pursues and activates full-funnel media strategy to drive measurable results globally. This is a full-time position located in the UK office.
About the Role
  • Launch and optimize paid marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness and help achieve business goals, using knowledge of international media landscape
  • Interpret marketing, industry, and consumer insights data to determine most effective upper funnel media mix to reach and attract target audiences
  • Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate media campaigns and strategies with agency, internal and external partner teams. Analyze agency media plans/proposals to give impactful feedback
  • Optimize ad campaigns according to geographic exposure, frequency, time spans and more on an ongoing basis
  • Propose new ways to best allocate the advertising budget, including analysis and recommendations on targeting, geography, scheduling, support level and budget
  • Work cross-functionally with partner teams (Brand, Research, Analytics) and geographies to facilitate creative, research, and measurement needs
  • Effectively communicate brand marketing goals, strategy, budgets, and results to senior leadership and relevant teams
  • Allocate budgets and monitor costs as an active participant to the finance process
  • Follow media trends to recommend enhancements to media plans, creative, and strategy
  • Build strong agency partner relationships to secure campaigns with maximum potential. Play active role in agency partner selection, changes, or recommendations.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of relevant media experience (agency experience a plus)
  • Proven experience in TV and video media buying, planning, and optimizing in Germany and/or the UK (TV required)
  • A firm understanding of marketing objectives and strategies, the consumer – product relationship, creative strategy and consumer – media relationship
  • Ability to interpret consumer behavior and target audience behavior to plan sophisticated targeted ad campaigns
  • Willingness to try new creative approaches to reach potential customers
  • Excellent communicator and strong decision-maker, with natural collaborating skills who are able to align partners and drive decision-making, in fast-paced high-volume work environment
  • Outstanding written/verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Analytically driven with constant curiosity and determination to dig deeper to improve international campaign performance and hit goals
  • Proficient in math - able to supervise marketing metrics analyses
  • A passionate member of the Etsy community and someone who believes in Etsy’s vision, mission and values
  • BSc/BA in Marketing, Business Administration or similar field, with paid advertising experience
