We’re looking for an experienced, proactive and solution focused Senior Office Manager to oversee the running of our London (where this role will be based) and Manchester offices. Regular travel to our Manchester office with overnight stay will be required.
We pride ourselves on having slick and efficiently run offices, so we’re looking for someone to come on-board who can lead a team, implement new initiatives, processes and work to a high standard and fast pace.
The role requires a super proactive, confident and positive individual who is a fantastic problem solver and thrives in “go to” person role.
What will you be doing?
  • Managing business refurbishments, renovations and office moves as they arise
  • Ensuring the office is always maintained to a high standard
  • Budgeting and record-keeping of third-party suppliers
  • Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value
  • Managing and facilitating of third-party suppliers
  • Manage and implement all H & S representation and training requirements
  • Lead, motivate and develop the Office Management team
  • Oversee all travel requests
  • Manage company culture initiatives, including organising social activities, monthly socials and help ensure a general positive vibe across the office
  • Ensure the team acknowledge and action requests from employees and management efficiently and with urgency when required
  • Develop new, innovative and creative solutions to business and departmental challenges.
  • Work with finance team on rent and rates reviews for both the building and major office contracts
  • Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives
  • Responding appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and manage emergency procedures and ensure training and regular drills are carried out
What do you need to have done before?
  • Previous experience of office manager role in a Creative environment
  • Experience of managing a team
  • The ability to show initiative and attention to detail
  • Excellent personable, communication and time management skills
  • Great team working skills with the ability to work autonomously and take responsibility for fulfilling tasks and meeting deadlines
  • A good negotiator to manage suppliers, local vendors or restaurants and bars
  • Routinely deals with complex problems in a solution-focused way
  • Manages multiple projects concurrently requiring excellent organisation
  • Comprehensive knowledge of H&S regulations and experience of carrying out H&S reviews
  • Strong management skills and experience with leading and developing a team
  • Strong relationship management with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Manages and controls budgets effectively
