Description

This role will involve project managing a broad range of projects including films (live action and motion graphics), interactive and installations. You will be responsible for developing long-term relationships with our clients including major international developers, architects, cultural institutions, visitor attractions and brands. As a senior producer you will be responsible for delivering large and small scale projects according to brief, timelines and budget managing both creative and technical teams in house and externally. You will take responsibility to manage and report on the project performance and take control to overcome issues during the project. You will also oversee projects run by more junior producers and play a part in their development. It is essential that you have generalist animation experience and end to end producing experience.
Day to Day Responsibilities
  • Inspires a high performance culture and communicates a clear sense of direction and expectations clearly
  • Establishes strong client relations and is the central point of contact for designated projects, attending all client meetings to guide and manage production progress
  • Responsible for project budgets between £20k and £2m+
  • Works with Head of Production to schedule in a team and ensures the team is clear on responsibilities, deliverables and timelines. Ensure each project is staffed according to schedule and budget and is pro-active in re-aligning resources to any timeline or scope shifts notifying the HoP of the required changes
  • Regularly updates and manages projects via Squint Opera’s online production tools including G-docs, F-track and Smartsheets. Reports to HOP and Financial Controller on project status and flags any significant risks/issues
  • Ensures project milestones and delivery dates are met
  • Ensures that both external client and collaborator’s requests remain within the agreed scope. Carefully manages internal creative and technical responses to ensure that they can be delivered within the agreed scope and budget
  • Is responsible for monitoring the payment terms and invoicing for a project, ensuring the project stays cash positive and any delays are flagged to the HoP and Project Accountant
  • Leads project reviews and team meetings
  • Plans studio and location shoots in the UK and internationally including crewing, kit hire, location permissions, talent bookings and scheduling
  • Attends all on-site client meetings and workshops in the UK and Internationally. Minutes – outlines and issues action points to the entire team. Clearly communicates and disseminates information across internal and external teams.
  • Organise and liaise with hardware, exhibition or other contractors and to obtain necessary information on time and to answer any queries that may arise.
  • Contract and manage contractors and external collaborators based in the UK and overseas
  • Asses project briefs with HOP and Directors to establish initial pitch presentation ideas and creative/technical concepts
  • Creation of quotes and contracts for new business

Qualification/ Experience
  • Demonstrable experience (6+ Years) within Project Management in a media content production or creative agency environment.
  • Strong with Project Management tools/software.

Desirable
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
