At Penguin Random House Audio, the UK's leading audiobook publisher, we are dedicated to making the best audiobooks on the market. Working with exceptional acting talent - from Benedict Cumberbatch to Sian Clifford - we create award-winning audiobooks.
We've had a #1 in the Audible charts on over 50 occasions, most recently with The Handmaid's Tale narrated by Elisabeth Moss, The Secret Commonwealth narrated by Michael Sheen and Heroes narrated by Stephen Fry.
We are about to open Penguin Studios, the best new audiobook studio in London. In order to do that we looking for an experienced Senior Producer to help us create standout recordings, and help build the reputation of Penguin Studios as the team everyone wants to work with.
Working closely with our editorial and production teams, you'll be directing and engineering bestselling books from across our eight publishing houses, always ensuring each text is thoroughly prepped ahead of every recording. This means often liaising with authors throughout the process, and briefing sound designers and editors on post-production when working on challenging edits or enhanced editions.
You should be confident in working with high-profile narrators, experienced audio narrators as well as new talent. Constantly supporting readers will mean you're engaged and alive to the readers' requirements, have great attention to detail, and a warm and calming approach to directing that means you'll get the best out of every narration.
To excel in this role, you will be an established Audio Producer/Director with prior audio production experience and be comfortable working in a vibrant and busy team. This role will also include line management of a junior role.
If you're passionate about audio and excited by the prospect of establishing a new role within this fast-growing and high profile area of the business, we'd love to hear from you.
Please apply with your CV and cover letter by 17th November 2019.
