Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager will be the glue across the entirety of the team to operationalize the mobile publishing strategy. The role will suit someone who loves a challenge and is used to juggling a wide variety of tasks, but has their focus firmly on making a great team even better.Reporting in to the Director of Mobile Publishing, this role will responsible for translating longterm goals into something actionable whilst shaping ongoing operations to ensure a high-functioning team.


Key Deliverables:
  • See and seek the problems within the team and work intuitively and creatively to solve them in the short & long term, introducing efficient models and expertise where there is no current set process
  • Work with diversity team to set up and run processes that will come from the aspirations and goals we will define for the shape and culture of the team
  • Act as information point & liaison for our interactions with the main business and understand key individuals and sources there
  • Offer infrastructure suggestions and models for all aspects they have experience in, from team/individual management, operational best practices, through to meeting protocol etc
  • Recommend and establish best operational practices and processes when working with external IP/dev teams and define a minimum standard to expect from partner
  • Capacity and resource management for Square Enix London
  • Establish a hiring priority system - identify the gaps and support needs, recommend hires based on need/comparison.
  • Run retrospectives and define action plans from the learnings
  • Set up an overall macro view of the timelines across projects, understand and flag implications if slippages occur and act as go-between and enforcement to ensure all deadlines are hit
  • Manage and enforce ‘rhythm of the business’ (standardization of documentation, cadence of meetings, reports)
  • Identify and establish team-level training
  • Agile coaching knowledge & experience
  • Set up a tracking system for all publishing/GTM aspects of the projects with workbacks, ensuring each owner delivers to the set schedule, act as a safety net to ensure all tasks are delivered

Knowledge & Experience

  • Experience working on a live ops project
  • Responsibility for other team members
  • Knowledge of game production methodologies, pipelines and technical requirements.
  • Solid understanding of the mobile gaming space, as well as the technologies and general processes required in game production.
  • Able to draft excellent project briefs, content specifications, and process documents.
  • Strong project management and leadership experience.
  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira & Confluence).
  • Experience developing mobile games from concept to launch.
  • A proven track record of producing successful and published free-to-play mobile titles.
