Freeda is the #1 media brand for the new generation. We inspire, represent and speak about what we care about the most, through unique content and experiences that we are passionate about.

Our mission is to spread real stories to inspire positive change and impact within society. We do that by promoting achievements, inspiring personal style and celebrating sisterhood.

Our community is made up of Millennials and Gen Z and they are the largest generational groups in the global population (63% in 2019). Very soon they'll also be the cohort with the highest spending power worldwide.

This role will report directly to the Editor and will be based in our London office:
  • Create and coordinate compelling, engagement-driving social media posts across all platforms
  • Spend ALL of your time on all of our social platforms
  • Find inspiring, really really funny imagery for Instagram reposts
  • Work with the Art Director to come up with themes for new illustrations
  • Work with the Editor (on copy and captions) and the creative team (on motion and Instagram stories) to schedule socially relevant content
  • Work closely with the Marketing Team to influence the creation of socially-relevant content, using audience insights to identify opportunities for growth
  • Be our community’s BFF by having your ear to the ground, communicating directly with them on our social platforms via messaging/comments and sharing any relevant community news with the teams
  • Always be there for our community within our FB pages and groups. Let’s keep them engaged and heard!
  • Provide social support around key events that may fall outside of normal working hours
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key social media platforms, if relationships do not already exist

As the Social Media Associate you will have:
  • An obsession with Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat and YouTube (Tik Tok is a plus). Have your own social networks personally or for your banging side hustle.
  • Strong social intelligence and ability to understand the trends of the UK media market
  • Be a Freeda advocate and obsessed with our positioning in the market
  • Meme librarian, Fluent in Emoji and a Trendsetter
  • Ability to create visual content, write social copy and edit images
  • Superhero levels of organisation when working across teams and platforms - it is THE most VIP role in the room.
  • Supporting Freeda’s three main pillars throughout your work and be an ambassador for the brand: Personal Achievement, Personal Style and Sisterhood
  • Appear in Freeda’s social first ‘staff’ content - our tool to give our community insight into who we are!
