We have an exciting opportunity for a feeelance Social Media Community Manager, you will be the external voice of Puffin and Ladybird managing all social channels including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube, building engaged brand audiences, promoting book sales, and consistently look for opportunities to drive best-in-class communities.
We publish some of the world’s biggest and best-known authors and brands: from Roald Dahl to Peppa Pig. We pride ourselves on our innovation and we put consumers at the heart of everything we do.

Whilst there is no need for formal qualifications or previous experience in publishing, we are looking for someone who can:
Create, curate and plan engaging social media content – Leading on the social media calendar
Manage all social platforms across brands along with a Digital Executive to drive follower growth and community engagement
Track, analyse and report on social media, email and content success
Use data and social insight to inform internal teams on audience behaviour, content campaign successes, and learnings
Successful candidates will have:
Experience in growing communities across multiple social media platforms
Social enthusiast with demonstrable experience in campaigns
A creative, strategic and commercial approach - understanding customers, tone of voice and ability to drive performance whilst protecting brand values
Experience working across social management tools / systems
Excellent communication and project management skills
Experience with crisis management
Location: London SW11 7BW / remote working currently.
