You will:
As a Social Media Controller you will be responsible for managing a team of social media senior managers, managers and execs who are tasked with concepting and delivering thumb-stopping social on Sky’s social media channels – encompassing everything from show launches to brand campaigns, new channel launches and always-on content. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Leading a team of Senior managers and managers and empowering them to deliver award-winning social campaigns.
  • Together with the Head of Social, manage quarterly resource and budget allocation across the team and aligning this with the business’ expectations, particularly with PR, Influencer and marketing.
  • Iterate and develop processes to get the best out of the team, to synch with the wider business and to ensure that senior stakeholders are aware and comfortable with the approach being taken.
  • Alongside the Social Media Creative Controller and Head of Social, develop an editorial strategy for Sky’s social media channels
  • Working with the Social Media Performance Controller and Mediacom, develop an always-on paid strategy with clear success metrics.
  • Becoming an ambassador for excellent social content within the business, willing to educate and inspire others.
  • Pivot your thinking and plans when necessary and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, tactical environment.
  • Deliver against iterative KPI and measurement frameworks, being able to articulate successes (and failures) and work any learnings into future activity.
You’ll have:
  • Digital social media marketing experience. Experience within an entertainment field is desired
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively to senior stakeholders
  • Experience working with agencies
  • Leadership experience, including experience of managing managers
  • Experience developing and delivering always-on content as well as award-winning social campaigns
  • First-class people skills and the ability to form strong relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent organisational and PM skills, with experience of using PM tools such as Wrike, Trello and Slack
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure and be comfortable with the uncomfortable.
