XL Recordings is an independent record label. We work with incredible artists. XL helps these artists to take their vision to the world, and to create a captivating context for their work.
We’re looking for a social media editor to oversee social strategy for our label accounts and digital properties, as well as those of our artists. The focus of the role is effective planning and channel strategy, engaging storytelling, new launches, analytics, reporting, and day-to-day channel management.
Our artists are innovators so you will need to be a social expert, full of new ideas. The social media editor ensures that label and artists’ unique tone of voice are maintained on every platform and project.
Social is at the heart of everything we do. The role involves working with label teams, managers and artists every day to translate themes and ideas into new forms of social storytelling.
XL is a fast-paced environment, so the ideal candidate must be confident juggling multiple projects as they work closely with label and management teams.
Experience working in a social media role within a creative environment.
A love of social storytelling and an eye for innovation.
Detailed, methodical, with good prioritisation, strong time management and organisational skills.
Can maintain and develop label and artists tone of voice across all platforms.
Familiarity with social planning and management tools.
Excellent and flexible copywriting skills.
Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach.
A love of music and the culture that surrounds it.
This role is based at XL’s London office.
