We’re looking for an ambitious social media manager to join our growing team in New York. As we build our US business you will be one of the first hires to the team and will play a crucial role in its growth.
You will be responsible for managing multiple social media accounts, providing strategic advice across a range of clients. Working closely with the rest of the agency, many of which will be located in multiple timezones, you will help deliver creative and effective award-winning work for some of biggest brands globally. Here, we aim for nines and tens. Low-balling for a safe six is just not us.
You will provide strategic counsel regarding the direction of clients’ social presence. You'll be encouraged to challenge the norm and drive the client and team to innovate in the world of social and connected platforms.
What does the role involve?
Devising and implementing strategies to transform clients into excellent social brands.
Building content plans for a number of clients based on strategic and data insights.
Ideating and creating content, inputting into creative discussions.
Writing copy and editing assets for client social media channels.
Monitoring and community managing social channels, engaging and responding to comments.
Analysing and reporting on channel performance, making informed suggestions on improvements.
Attending regular team and client meetings with a key understanding of the asks involved and an idea of the solutions required.
Building and nurturing relationships with your team and clients, being a key client contact on a daily basis.
What you need
Expert social media understanding: demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of platforms and distribution of content
A passion for sport: a real passion for sports / culture / entertainment. Experience working in these sectors would be a bonus.
Platform analytics: you know your way around the native analytics tools and have worked with paid media
Community manager: adept at community managing multiple brands
Design and photo editing skills
An adept copywriter: excellent communication and writing skills
Content planning: knowing what content will deliver the best results across different platforms, ensuring a mix of planned and reactive
Driven self-starter, with an entrepreneurial mindset, who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Creative mindset: to deliver high quality work in all channels
Salary: $65k - $70k / year
