Reporting to the Chief Content & Partnerships Officer, the Strategic Partnership Director is a key role within the FutureLearn team, with responsibility for one of our key strategic accounts, The Open University. To be successful, you will be skilled at initiating and leading strategic discussions with senior figures in the higher education industry on their organisational and people development needs and have proven business development skills and a growth mindset. Your focus will be to work closely with the partner and develop a strong industry-led, skills-focused revenue generating portfolio of short courses and Microcredentials.

Establish and sustain strategic relationships with the partner, advising on ways to address their challenges and meet their goals
Significantly grow the existing portfolio of short courses and Microcredentials
Contribute to the accelerated growth of FutureLearn’s business, championing the brand and representing the organisation in a myriad of settings
Bring an innovative, flexible and intrapreneurial approach to creating business opportunities
Advocate on behalf of the partner, representing their needs and championing their objectives within FutureLearn and externally with FutureLearn's clients and stakeholders
Evangelise for FutureLearn and its pedagogical approaches to delivering high quality learning at scale to a broad range of stakeholders
Develop and deliver a cohesive business development strategy for the account, incorporating innovation to deliver growth plans
Communicate with impact at a senior level, excellent stakeholder management
Demonstrate operational intensity: getting stuff done and removing bottlenecks
Understand the education and edTech industries
Work closely with the Insights and Marketing teams to leverage data driven analysis and spot market trends and opportunities for further development

This role will be fully remote whilst FutureLearn's office in Camden is closed. Once the office is open again this role will be a full time, office based role with a lot of flexibility to work remotely and frequent travel to the partner's offices (Milton Keynes).
