We are recruiting for an experienced Talent & Resourcing Manager to join our team on a permanent basis in this newly created role.
Reporting to the Head of Production Finance and Head of Production Talent, the Talent & Resourcing Manager will lead the sourcing, selection and hiring of all key production finance roles. You’ll work to create a team of high quality, diverse talent that underpins the production of outstanding, distinctive, multi-platform and commercially successful output.
Talent Recruitment, Selection, Development
Partner with the Head of Production Finance and and label production leads to understand the pipeline of shows in development and their production finance resourcing needs, offering specialist advice and expertise for the genre on talent available, best skills fit, team structure and composition
Collaborate with the Head of Production Finance to develop and launch a production finance training academy, acting as line manager to trainees
Lead and manage the end to end hiring process adapting approach to suit circumstance/deadlines and contract type ensuring all processes adhere to ITV’s policies and procedures
Using a variety of approaches (market research, advertising, professional networking and active sourcing tools) to create pipelines of versatile, high quality talent
Meet new external talent regularly to build market knowledge, understand their skills and capability and keep prospective candidates engaged
Lead on assessment days and support with interview processes
Ensure all advertising and selection drives ITV’s ambition to create a culture of equality for all regardless of background and fully embraces ITV’s diversity and social partnership ambitions
Monitor market rates for key talent and liaise with production to ensure that ITV remains competitive and production costs are controlled, negotiating rates/salary with freelance and contract staff as required
Offer exit interviews to freelancers and staff towards the end of each production, assess their skillset and aspiration, provide feedback and ensure they are considered for opportunities in line with any personal career progression identified
Leadership and Management
Engage in and champion a high performance team culture and, where required, conduct regular performance appraisals maximising opportunity for career development and ambition
Manage a busy, unpredictable workload and embrace and encourage a flexible team approach so that peaks and troughs in production are managed in a timely manner
Ensure the recruitment process for all employee and freelance hires is carried out adhering fully to ITV’s policies and procedures with regard to employment, tax and GDPR legislation thereby minimising ITV’s exposure to risk
On a project/programme specific basis, act as line manager to talent coordinators/assistants as required involving them fully in the ambition of the wider talent team function
Work closely with other talent execs/managers, the ITV recruitment team & HR to ensure consistent ways of working across labels and a collaborative approach to marketing ITV as a great place to work
Engage proactively with diversity initiatives both within ITV and externally playing a key role in ensuring our programmes teams are fully representative
Act as label ambassador advising organisations including universities and colleges on ITV’s production finance talent needs so that their strategies and activity are appropriate and relevant to the market
Work collaboratively with external organisations to drive future pipelines of high quality, diverse talent engaging with prospective talent through networking events, CV clinics and mentoring
Demonstrable knowledge of the television production landscape and good knowledge of talent in the industry
Experience of partnering with colleagues to assess resourcing needs and lead an attraction/recruitment process to secure high quality talent
Demonstrable experience of developing a range of initiatives to drive future talent pipelines and deliver on industry diversity and inclusion targets
Demonstrable experience of working within legal frameworks and minimising business exposure to risk (further training can be given if required)

Previous experience of working in a client facing role and representing the business in a positive light to drive cross company and/or industry collaboration
