MR PORTER are now seeking a talented Upload Planner to join the team based in our offices in London, Shepherds Bush. Reporting into the Senior Upload Planner the Mr. Porter Upload Planner manages the flow of product through the critical path from the point of delivery to the website publishing stage for Mr. Porter's International, United Kingdom + Middle East, and Americas websites.
You Will:
  • Use in-house stock management systems to create, allocate to, and manage the Upload lists which determine workload for all teams involved
  • Ensure allocation of product meets criteria to achieve the best variety in offering to the customer, satisfying the business' financial needs and enhancing visual merchandising output
  • Work closely with the Buying and Merchandising teams to effectively manage product both before and after it enters the business, finding efficiencies, cost and time savings, as well as a consistent and timely workflow.
  • Serve as the go-to contact for all special product and brand launches and manages the brand launch calendar for the wider business
  • Prioritise key pieces with the warehouses and studio teams as required for reservations, events and editorial, and ensure that featured products are confirmed
  • Maintain strong awareness of the Buy and important products and categories for the business
  • Push new products to the live website and carries out thorough checks before and after publishing
  • Build strong relationships with the UK and US Studio Photography and Resource Planning teams are essential for:
  • Forecasting studio shooting requirements on a weekly basis.
  • Efficiently scheduling different types of photography for various product types, special product launches and preshooting of samples.
  • Allocating product to studio worklists on a consistent basis and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.
  • Partnering with the Studio to find better, more efficient ways of working and system improvements.
  • Be comfortable working closing with technological improvements and technical teams, collaborating on process enhancements and delivery
  • Manage problematic products in a timely manner, ensuring that lead time from delivery to upload date is as short as possible, and puts plans in place to avoid repetition of issues
  • Track and analyze upload and studio photography metrics to spot inefficiencies and/or opportunities in the upload workflow
  • Raise any concerns to the appropriate Upload Manager if/when upload objectives are at risk
  • Challenge the status quo in order to grow and scale the Upload as the business evolves, carrying out and communicating his/her own assignments to enhance processes, systems, training guides and new business developments
  • Regularly attends sales, trade, operations and studio meetings to provide and receive updates on deliveries, uploads and special projects.
  • Attend monthly visits to Charlton distribution centre to build and maintain relationships with key operational contacts.
You Have:
  • Degree-educated with 2-3 years relevant experience gained in the Retail industry with E-commerce preferred and/or exposure to Merchandising, Buying and Inbound warehouse functions
  • Previous managerial experience
  • Organized and efficient with proven ability to work to stringent deadlines
  • Can prioritize a multitude of tasks in a dynamic and effective manner
  • Able to maintain accuracy and diligence whilst working across multiple in-house systems and workflows
  • A great communicator who genuinely enjoys working with others and responds to queries in a timely fashion
  • Comfortable working with a global team in separate offices and time zones
  • Can maintain high standards in day-to-day routines whilst multitasking other long-term projects and working under pressure
  • Has exceptional attention to detail, especially in carrying out routine checks for website product information
  • A self-starter who is process and results-driven with a genuine interest in Retail Operations, Merchandising and Warehouse operations
  • Advanced Excel knowledge essential, Visio or other process-mapping software preferred
