UX Designer
Reports to - Senior Marketing Designer
Job Purpose
The UX Designer will deliver a customer centric approach to all marketing channels creative across consumer sales products (magazine subscriptions, magazines products, beauty boxes, holidays and other Hearst products), by applying UX best practices and producing best in class design and emails. This role requires a highly skilled email designer (HTML and CSS), with experience on building emails for CRM platforms.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing
• Support the senior designer on the day to day creative tasks to deliver marketing campaign assets (social ads, display banners, print ads, inserts, email marketing creative, build and wireframing)
• Develop design briefs for approval
• Build and edit emails and creative (HTML and CSS)
• Work closely with the Customer Marketing Managers to discuss the business objectives and requirements of the design task
• Work on layouts and artwork pages ensuring work is supplied on time
• Assist in managing the weekly creative deadline schedule across consumer sales business
• Create concepts, wireframes, prototypes for email marketing campaigns and web landing pages (HTML/CSS)
Innovation
• Improve design processes to ensure tasks are delivered within deadlines
• Use innovation to re-define a design brief within the constraints of cost and time
• Think creatively to produce new ideas and concepts in line with Hearst audiences
(customer-centric creative)
UX
• Create wireframes and prototypes following UX best practices and prototyping tools
• Demonstrate illustrative skills with rough sketches
• Ensure all creative is customer-centric
• Ensure all emails are mobile responsive
Skills
• Proven experience of working across digital and print design is a requirement
• Must have extensive experience using Photoshop, illustrator, in-design and After Effects
• Experience with CSS, HTML and/or other web programming technologies
• Knowledge and use of prototyping tools (i.e. Sketch, InVision, Zeppelin or other)
• Experience working with CRM platforms (Selligent)
• Experience working with ecommerce platforms (Magento 2)
