Hours of Work
This is a full-time (10-15 days), on-site role during the London International Youth Science Forum. You must be available for:
Location
Based at Imperial College London, South Kensington, London, with additional shoots at external venues (research centres, cultural sites, etc.).
Travel to external shoot locations will be covered. Daily commute to Imperial College is not covered. Meals are provided during working hours.
Organisation Information
London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF CIC) is a not-for-profit social enterprise founded in 1959. Our aim is to give a deeper insight into science and its applications for the benefit of all mankind and to develop greater understanding between young people of all nations. LIYSF is a two-week residential event with lectures and demonstrations from leading scientists, visits to industrial sites and institutions, and a full social programme to promote international exchange.

We are seeking passionate, creative individuals to join the LIYSF media team as videographers, working across cinematography and media production. This role requires independence, reliability, technical expertise, and creativity. Candidates must be able to manage their own equipment, shoot high-quality footage, and work collaboratively within a team under direction from LIYSF’s Media Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Film a wide range of forum activities, including lectures, events, excursions, and social gatherings
Organise, name, and transfer footage to the central system daily in a structured format
Follow brand visual guidelines and provided shot list
Deliver edited photo and video assets when scheduled
Collaborate with the social and media team and respond to feedback
Respect participant privacy and gain necessary permissions where required
Familiarity with audio gear
Attend media team briefings and training sessions
Requirements
Must bring your own camera: DSLR, Mirrorless, or Cinema Camera
Must have 4K video recording capabilities
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, and Photoshop
Ability to work full days and adapt to a dynamic shooting schedule
Must be able to manage media files efficiently and responsibly
Excellent time management and team collaboration
Must be committed, reliable, and professional
Must submit a portfolio and full current equipment list
Usage & Permissions
Footage captured remains the property of LIYSF CIC. Use of any footage on personal or public social media accounts is not permitted. You may include selected content in your private portfolio with prior approval and appropriate credit.
Preferred (Not Essential)
Previous experience in event coverage, university projects, or freelance work
Familiarity with lighting gear or multi-camera setups
Experience producing deliverables under tight deadlines
