The Guildhall School of Music & Drama is looking for a Vocal Department Manager. In this busy role the main responsibilities include liaising, coordinating and taking on all aspects of the day to day running of the Vocal Studies Department. Also you will provide a high level of management, financial and organisational support to the Head of Vocal Studies dealing, to the highest international level, with all matters relating to students, professors and external bodies associated with the Vocal Studies Department.
To be successful in your application you will have:
a proven experience in a senior administrative role and experience in course/programme administration
have a wide and varied experience in project management & administration within a classical music or theatre context
knowledge of professional opera, concert or theatre environments
proven budget management experience
experience of implementing and improving systems
You will also need to be educated to degree level or with relevant experience and have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office including producing information in spreadsheet/database format.
You will ideally have an interest in Vocal Music, Drama and the teaching & learning of singers in Higher Education but this is not essential.
