We are seeking a hands-on, metrics-driven VP Marketing to help us expand the connection with our customers. To succeed in this amazing opportunity you will need to amplify all parts of our current marketing engine, and build new ways to acquire customers.

We are looking for an experienced VP Marketing who has led growth at a B2B SaaS company, and scaled them from $10m to $20m ARR or beyond. Could that person be you?

The Role:
We’re looking for someone who can take a 20,000 foot view to drive customer acquisition strategies, recruit a team of 5 or 6 marketers, then zoom 10 feet above ground to execute the plan.

  • Creating paid and organic customer acquisition strategies that increase lead velocity growth rate
  • Building a world class marketing team who take their place at the center of our company to drive growth

To be successful in this role, you’ll be strategic, accountable and opportunistic. Your ability to manage and measure the customer acquisition funnel is vital.

The VP will be based in either London or New York, wherever we find the right candidate. You’ll utilize internal resources and work with external consultants and agencies to help bring your vision to life. You’ll be expected to identify what you need, why you need it, and to find the most collaborative way to get it done.

You will report directly to co-founder and Joint-CEO, Dan Emmerson, and work closely with the rest of the executive team.

The Candidate:
You’re entrepreneurial, scrappy and find inventive ways to get things done. You have a logical mind, a business brain, and an eye for good design. You enjoy building a marketing team from the ground up, and have done it before.

You have initiative and you can identify your own priorities and manage yourself to proactively get them done. You’re a starter who stays strong all the way to the finish. You’ve previously been a senior marketing manager or VP at a SaaS company scaling beyond $10m ARR. You worked in a role that demanded laser-like focus on increasing lead velocity, holding yourself to metrics, always questioning how to improve.

You have experience working across a wide variety of marketing channels including paid, content, funnels, lifecycle marketing, and digital. You have bold ideas, and the skills to gather what you need to execute your plan.

The Responsibilities:
  • Immediately hire 4-6 marketers to execute our B2B demand generation strategy for all global market segments (creative, demand gen, and product).
  • Define, budget, and execute paid media campaigns for customer acquisition across channels.
  • Define, and execute organic campaigns for customer acquisition.
  • Oversee content creation for marketing, including emails, product pages, and other marketing materials (case studies, whitepapers, e-books, email campaigns, blog, social, newsletters..).
  • Define the strategy and launch an upcoming Freemium version of OpenAsset as a new channel to acquire customers.
  • Define the strategy and launch a new product we are creating to acquire leads.
  • Manage content across web properties.
  • Find and manage agencies / freelancers to deliver creative marketing services (graphic design, branding, website, video..).
  • Define and use personas to create specific campaigns and effectively measure increase in leads per cohort.
  • Build a watertight lead follow up programme with sales and support sales enablement activities.
  • Build strong relationships with Customer Success leadership to gain insights into use cases and what drives value.
  • Promote our Integration Partnership programs.
  • Create a social and marketing content calendar across owned channels.
  • Determine and implement optimal CRM, social media, and MarTech stack strategies, building on our current platforms (Salesforce, Marketo, Intercom, WordPress, Google Analytics etc).
  • Oversee management of events and conferences.
