Monocle is looking for a junior/mid-weight web developer to join our digital team. The ideal candidate should work well within a creative group and be comfortable maintaining, optimizing and extending our websites, CMS and interactions with 3rd party software; including our payment gateway and CRM. There are a number of exciting CRM, e-commerce and editorial projects scheduled for 2019 which the ideal candidate will be directly involved in
You will report to, and work closely with the senior web developer and senior digital designer on a varying range of projects, from improving our CMS for content curation to building new elements for the ecommerce store, improving user experience. We're a small team who get along well – there’s a lot we do and there’s never a boring day.
Robust, reusable, and maintainable development
Experience using HTML, CSS
Experience with CMS technologies (an understanding of Symphony CMS beneficial)
Node.JS, Object-oriented programming, functional programming
Experience with SASS/LESS/Webpack
Understanding of AWS technologies
Understanding of API-first philosophy
