Creative Equals aims to get adland to take proactive steps towards gender diversity within creative departments – and, most importantly, at leadership level. This is what currently happens, Women start out at grad school at 50:50. By the time they're employed by agencies, we lose about 20% of our talent as women make up just 29% of creative departments across the UK. Right now, the number of CDs in London runs at just 12%. When it comes to counting chief creative officers, you're counting on your fingers. That’s where Creative Equals comes in. By working closely with agencies, recruiters and the industry over the next five years, we want to finally change the ratio to reflect the world we live in.
