Gallery FUMI

Gallery FUMI is a London-based contemporary design gallery featuring conceptually and aesthetically audacious designers and artists; many use traditional techniques such as carving, glassblowing, marquetry, lacquering and meticulous hand assemblage, others disassemble, burn or apply experimental technologies in the making. Works are predominantly made by hand in a small workshop context, embodying the values of craftsmanship and materiality. Gallery FUMI emphasises the satisfyingly tactile as well as the purely visual and great significance is placed on the emotional as well as practical value of craft.
