JAM is a creative, dynamic, forward-thinking arts organisation, with new music at its core. Throughout the last 20 years, JAM has commissioned and performed over 130 new pieces by some of the UK’s most significant composers, with multiple performances across the UK and worldwide. JAM achieves a six million multi-media reach per annum, regularly appears on BBC Radio 3 and its commissions have won British Composer Awards. In 2014, JAM launched JAM on the Marsh, an annual 2-week multi-arts festival on Kent’s Romney Marsh. The 2021 live festival will run from 8-18 July and includes 14 concerts, 5 exhibitions, 1 theatre production as well as a film festival and education projects. JAM on the Marsh: VIRTUAL will broadcast in the autumn. Past and present artists include BBC Singers, London Mozart Players, The King’s Singers, The Gesualdo Six, Lesley Garrett, Onyx Brass, Changeling Theatre, land artist Jon Foreman and many more. JAM regularly collaborates with the Southbank, Barbican, Hastings Contemporary, Gulbenkian, Radio 3 and BBC South East TV. In 2020, JAM on the Marsh received a 4-star review in the Financial Times.
