Progressive Productions is a Hungarian production company that has specialized in offering service for international commercial film, film, television and photography productions. Next to having an office in Budapest, it also has one in Vienna. Progressive started out as a boutique production company in Budapest, in the middle of 2009. This meant that we kept the number of our full-time employees minimal and mostly worked with freelance professionals during projects. But after a while we felt that with this system we could not ensure such services to our clients that significantly differ from what our competitor companies offer and nor have a considerable amount of creative values for creators of the visual content. This is why over multiple years, we have partially broken away from the boutique model and created such a group of people, that consist of people who as full-time colleagues, do not only work with us on projects, but also constantly develop our company’s in-house services: our production, location and casting services. The services that we feel have the biggest lacking in quality in the Hungarian market are the ones that we feel are the most capable to rise the quality of the production of the visual product. Our production team consists of our permanent colleagues. We do not believe that the founders of our company, the owners, as managing directors or executive producers should merely keep an eye on the progress of the productions from afar and aim to maximize the number of projects. Both of them actively take part in the projects as producers. We believe in skilful, efficient and creative production solutions and that this is what our clients expect the most from us. All our colleagues share the company’s values and beliefs. Our locations department builds on such a high-quality location database, that took years of hard work to create and which is still being continuously developed day by day. Our rigorous location scouts aim to find all the much wanted locations and to show these to directors, cinematographers, photographers and producers so that it is comprehensive and also reflects on the creative concept. The key figures of our location scout and management services do not work on the freelance market and we do not believe that such high quality could be found there. The in-house casting directors of our talents department are constantly searching new talents and also keeping in contact with the best talent agencies. Our aim with our castings is to find the talent that everyone feels that he or she is the right one, and is not only chosen because there is not an opportunity for another casting round. If our team discovers someone, then we keep in contact with them later on, keeping an eye on their career and providing them with professional advice. The personal and good relationship with our talents leads to a better performance at shoots and that they completely fulfill and outdo our expectations towards them. Our team is constantly searching for new projects, which we all accept as a challenge and exequite it with complete attention to it. We are also continuously looking for new team members as well, who can share our beliefs and will studiously and humbly work on challenging projects.
