SiciliAmbiente Film Festival in Sicily, Italy. We screen international feature-length docs, documentary shorts, short works of fiction, and animated films focusing on human rights and the environment. The aim of our festival is to spread the culture of sustainability. SiciliAmbiente takes place every year in the beautiful beach town of San Vito Lo Capo. The 11th edition will is set for July 14-19, 2019. We partner with Amnesty International Italia, Greenpeace Italia, and other national and regional organizations, screening amazing independent films from all over the world, discussing everything from intensive dairy farming to Trump - together with our very active audience. Our Festival is intimate and non-glamorous, but extremely prestigious. We are one of the top environmental film festivals in Europe. The film selection is never based on "hype" of a certain documentary making the festival rounds, but on film quality and impactful content. Our international filmmaker guests have been known to become long time friends and collaborators after spending time with us here.
