The Iris Initiative

The Iris Initiative is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation (SCIO) that aims to inspire open and meaningful conversations about the wide spectrum of values and beliefs each of us use to govern our lives. We believe that by encouraging greater participation in values-led public discourse, at all levels of society, we can help individuals to cultivate greater success for individuals and societies; the nature of such success being defined by each of us as individuals. Currently, we do this by running Scotland’s leading online creative arts competition and people’s exhibition, The John Byrne Award – named after one of Scotland’s most celebrated writers and artists, John Byrne.
