This project is based on a theoretical research about the role of mistakes in the creative process. I argued with an essay of German philosopher and cultural critic Walter Benjamin The work of art in the age of mechanical reproduction.
100% wrong is a piece that celebrates mistakes and brings them to a new conceptual level. It consists of one hundred individual pictures which, being put next to each other in a geometric formality, create a new composition and question the traditional principles of photography and design. In such a setup an individual image is almost of no importance. This work shows a diversity of experience that might happen with the same negative during the same printing process. It argues with the belief that photographic art is an act of mechanical reproductivity.
This fusion of techniques helps to make a step outside the rational world and create a multiplicity of perception of the whole piece.
