Old Stock: A Refugee Love Story is a theatrical dark comedy, weaving together dance and klezmer music with a strong narrative tale. The show starred Canadian genre-bending sensation Ben Caplan, on the back of his European album tour and is inspired by the true stories of two Jewish Romanian refugees coming to Canada in 1908. Our digital advertising brief was to increase ticket sales amongst immigrants, ethnic minorities and culturally disengaged groups. Therefore, the advertising was focused on Google Display Ads and Facebook Advertising, with detailed audience demographics groups. As well as the Google Display Ads, we created a series of short clips giving an insight into the show, a few of which are below. These clips were sent to specific audiences and then different clips were used for retargeting campaigns directly before and during the tour.
