I took part in this year's Fearless Academy, a design competition hosted by renowned agency Taxi Studio. The brief was to create a brand and packaging for a supermarket product that would best represent my personality and standout factor as a designer! I chose cheese – because it gets better with age! While I'm only a few years older than most design graduates, I spent those years pursuing a demanding career path (academia) and although I have now turned to design, my first education is an invaluable asset. I wanted to communicate how confident I feel about taking this little detour. The brand is called Full Bloom, because that's where I'm at!
I love working with nice materials and paper is by far my favourite. I therefore decided to create intricate paper stencils that wrap around the packaging structures very elegantly and express the tradition and craft that go into cheese making. I also wanted to give the product a little twist and so all the cheeses are mixed with wild flowers!
