Revolving around one of Michelangelo’s masterpieces, Day, the grand opening for MoNTUE, represents Day, the highlight piece of MoNTUE’s plaster cast collection acquired from the long-term project with the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York in 2006. Extending from Michelangelo's classic piece, the exhibition incorporates works of contemporary artists from Taiwan to worldwide. It intends not only to stimulate the conversation between the classic and the contemporary but also to suggest a trans-cultural dimension across Taiwan and the world.
