A Living Monument

  • Antonia Spagnardi

Before embracing the field of photography, I did an internship as Journalist and Production Assistant for ZOO Magazine in Amsterdam. I worked with a little but enthusiastic team and helped Creative Directors Jose Klap and Sandor Lubbe with several tasks, including creative Research, Archive, Content Creation (Print, Website and Social Media, Press and Production activities). I took part in the release of the 60 issue, which celebrates 15 years of the Magazine paying homage to German culture. In particular, I’ve been responsible for the organisation (Casting, Costume Research, Archival Research, Communication and Event Production) of Ulay’s work A Living Monument, taking place at Koenig Gallery in Berlin and photographed by Sandor Lubbe. This beautiful experience opened a new perspective through which I could understand the dynamics involved with the realisation of a creative project and achieve a more consistent overview on Ulay’s sensibility. Also, it strengthened willingness to keep working for the cultural industries.
