‘A Sensory Tour of Own Code II’ was a bespoke, gastronomic guided tour of an exhibition of paintings by Edurne Esponda, ‘Own Code II’.
This sensory tour included a series of edible experiences which were developed, with Blanch & Shock Design, to encapsulate the ingredients and colours referenced in the paintings. This experiential tour introduced the audience to tastes and textures found in traditional Oaxacan food whist enhancing their viewing experience and interpretation of the work.
This project was programmed as part of University of Birmingham’s MEX/BHX festival to celebrate the Year of Mexico in UK.
