Addressing Continuous Cruisers

‘Addressing Continuous Cruisers’ is my Goldsmith’s degree show project, which I was awarded a 1st for. I have designed a system that gives London’s Boaters the ability to have a fixed residential address anytime anywhere. My project ultimately aims to elevate London's growing houseboat community as legitimate home owners, giving them the tools to access social infrastructure and services conventional home owners may take for granted. By using a combination of technologies, I created a mobile application 'Canal Address London' (C.A.L), powered by What3words location technology and a Particle Electron 3G Cellular Data Kit, that enables London’s Boaters to record and log their change in location, communicating this data to relevant urban governance like the Canal & River Trust.
