Adrian Frutiger

For this project I wanted to reflect over Adrian Frutiger’s life in a chronological way by providing a year by year commentary on what he did or what big events where happening at the time. I looked at the way he worked with his large letter forms and over laying the copy to create a large coffee table book that can be opened flat and admired from the comfort of your chair. The book explores how Frutiger has transitioned through different periods of typography and has adapted to change whilst teaching and passing on his knowledge. It shows every font that he made and gives an insight into how he created them.
