As an artist, Lauren Cremer has always gravitated towards vibrancy & bursts of colour. In this shoot, the goal from the start was to strip away her usual style, using an abstract concept to experiment with and to have a visual focus primarily on lighting & composition in black & white. Some of the references for this shoot include Aegidius Sadeler, The Poughkeepsie Tapes, & Le Théâtre Du Mouvement. To achieve this outcome, the team cast a contortionist & a ballet dancer that would be able to pose in the ways necessitated by the concept.
